Ramon Meza

Hi there :) My name is Ramón!

A bit about me: I am currently undergoing a career change. I studied British Literature during undergrad, but felt stuck upon graduating and working clerical jobs during 2020-2023.

Playing with hair has always existed as a background activity since the age of four. It began with braiding my toy horses' manes, later real horses, and eventually that obsession lent itself to experimenting with coloring my family members' roots on a monthly basis. Little by little I transitioned towards more experimental projects, resulting in learning by trial and error.

Coloring hair created a space where I lost myself in the flow of time, sometimes for as long as ten hours uninterrupted. The passion I experienced in doing hair has ultimately allowed me to consider this hobby as a career and has led me to explore other areas of interest within cosmetology, such as cutting.

I am currently a student at Paul Mitchell the School Chicago. My estimated graduation date is December, 2024.
