Always be humble and kind
Always be humble and kind

I am currently a student at Paul Mitchell the School in Springfield Mo. I am from a very small town and grew up as a farm girl. Growing up on a farm taught me to work hard for what I have and to always lend a helping hand. I believe that there is enough room for everyone to succeed in this world you just have to work hard. I have learned to play with the cards I am dealt with and always remember you have to have rain too grow flowers.

I have always had a passion for making people feel better about themselves when they look in a mirror. Growing up with a brother and a single father made me want to give people what I never had. I never had someone to brush my hair, paint my nails, help me put in my earrings, or teach me how to braid hair. Naturally I was a tom boy growing up, and it wasn't until high school when I met my girly self. I started to love pink, wearing dresses, and makeup. This led me to believe that cosmetology was my place to be. My senior year of high school I participated in a job shadowing program which allowed me to shadow in a salon for half of every school day my senior year. That experience taught me how to treat clients in my chair, gave me an idea of what it takes to own a business and I truely fell in love.
