My name is Rihana Qoku, and I am currently a cosmetology student at Paul Mitchell NYC. I am 19 years old and scheduled to graduate in October. My passion for the beauty industry grows every day as I continue learning and expanding my skills. I enjoy exploring the many facets of cosmetology and look forward to growing within the industry.
My goal is to become a bridal stylist, inspired by helping women feel their absolute best on one of the most special days of their lives. While technique is crucial, I believe clients remember how they feel during the experience you provide just as much as the final result.
I have worked with clients on blowouts, color application, foil work, women's haircuts, and styling. I approach every client with honesty, appreciation, and integrity, striving to create a personalized and exceptional experience for each person who sits in my chair. I look foward to what my future holds for me and cannot wait to overcome each challenge with a smile.

After preparing to become a nursing major, I found myself filling out paperwork for cosmetology school just two months later. I never would have guessed I'd end up in this field, but I truly believe everything happens for a reason. It didn't take long for me to realize nursing wasn't where I was meant to be, and that my passion was leading me elsewhere.
Over the summer, I began styling my family members' hair for small events and dinners, and I fell in love with every part of it the preparation, the creativity, working with my hands, and most of all, seeing their reactions. What started as doing hair for loved ones quickly turned into people asking me for updos, and I was prised by how naturally it came to me.
After months of self-teaching and practicing on a mannequin, I knew it was time to pursue cosmetology school. I had found a place where I felt comfortable, inspired, and genuinely happy. Instead of coming home overwhelmed from college courses, I now come home excited to talk about what Iearned that day. That speaks volumes.
I'm here because cosmetology doesn't just feel like a career path to me- it feels like where I'm meant to be.
