About me
Robert Cartwright is a master colorist and stylist and is a graduate of Paul Mitchell Academy. A Chicago native, Robert began his professional career in 2002 at a family owned salon in North Miami where he worked for six years. Robert was also a hair stylist at Univision Television Network in Miami. He then worked at SAMY Salon on South Beach and, during this time, he worked at several fashion shows, including Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Miami and for many magazine shoots. In addition, Robert has styled several celebrities’ hair such as Hailey Duff, Christina Millian, Nick Zano, Rachel Specter, Miss Universe 2009, Peter Miller and many more. He is certified by Redken in Color Connection and by Color Science in Advanced Mineral Makeup Application “Camouflage Techniques.” Robert is also certified by Ultra Tress and Hot Heads extensions and by Paul Brown for thermal straightening, and Keratin Complex. Although this is just a brief preview of what Robert has done, he has a very extensive and impressive resume that he has built over the years.

Identifying innovative approaches and improved solutions to business challenges both motivate and drive me. Observation, inspiration, and determination are my foundation for success. My philosophy is that introducing fresh perspectives and new techniques allow businesses to evolve and grow. Similar to most, if not all brands here on Canvas Me, my goal is to remain on the cutting edge of advancements.
Formerly in my Salon Co-Owner / Hair Stylist role, and Educator roll, my successes have stemmed from essential skills, including progress monitoring and student engagement. I have enhanced my leadership abilities and cultivated a reputation as a major contributor through motivation and collaboration. I am a collaborative team player who is always searching for opportunities to impart valuable insights. With these qualities, I am able to facilitate positive change and impacting outcomes.
