Roots Salon and Head Spa was founded by Nicole and Dana, two friends and stylists with over 20 years of combined experience who met at Jean Madeline cosmetology school in South Philadelphia. In 2019, they opened their first location in Milmont Park, building a loyal clientele and a warm, welcoming environment despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. By 2022, they expanded to a larger space at 234 Milmont Avenue, and in 2025, they proudly opened a second location in Villanova featuring an elevated salon experience and a luxurious Head Spa. Offering services ranging from haircuts, color, and blowouts to head spa treatments, lashes, waxing, and makeup, Roots is a full-service destination built on friendship, expertise, and community.
