Hello, my name is Roselyn Alfaro. I'm a 20 year-old future licensed cosmetologist. I am currently enrolled at OGLE school hair, skin and nails. All my life i've been fascinated by art and I use to love doing my nails and as I grew older, my passion grew much more. I started my journey as a beginner nail tech October of 2024 during a depressing time period where I felt hopeless and thought I lost everything. God has blessed me with many opportunities since then. I've met so many beautiful people who have trusted me and seen me grow as well as my work and I pray, I can service you and make your nails make you feel confident!

After I graduated high school May 2023, I enrolled in a technical school where I was learning how to weld and during that time I was a full-time electrical apprentice and for two years, I've worked so hard to to prove this point that I was independent, secure and happy with the path that I was choosing to pursue. I relocated to Mississippi for a job and in only three months I completely lost myself. They made it known that I was just a number and that as a woman in this male dominated field, I would never amount to a man. No matter how hard I worked and no matter how good of a worker I was. God fortunately humbled me and in October 2024 I lost my job. I was all alone in a different state away from everyone and I felt like I lost everything so when I moved back home, I felt like I failed. I was only 19 and I took the chance to start doing nails while searching for welding jobs. It felt like no job was hiring, so I kept practicing to perfect my nail application and this went on for months. The day that I finally got a call back for a weld test that was the first month I was fully booked. I made the choice to stay in Houston and continue this journey of growing my nail business and being taken seriously for my nail art. This led me to where I'm at right now in school to get licensed for a career that I am in love with, passionate about, and an industry I feel seen in.
