My name is Ruth Gabriela “Gabby” Brito, and my journey in beauty began long before I ever stepped into a classroom. After going natural at a young age and not always having access to salon care, I taught myself how to style and nurture my own hair. What started as a necessity quickly grew into a passion, one that led me to care for friends, family, and eventually clients. Beauty became not just something I did, but a part of who I am.

I earned myBachelor’s in Business Marketing from Prairie View A&M University, where I discovered how deeply I love blending creativity with strategy. That passion pushed me to launch 5TG Cosmetics,a luxe, eco-minded skincare and haircare brand rooted in intention, inclusivity, and storytelling. I formulate with care, research intensely, and build products that honor every texture, tone, and lifestyle. Through 5TG, I learned how to take an idea from vision to branding, product development, marketing, and beyond and I’m now relaunching with a wider, more elevated focus.

Still, I wanted to expand my artistry beyond product creation, so I began pursuing professional training at Paul Mitchell Houston.My focus is color and healthy hair in hopes of helping clients feel both protected and elevated. My long-term dream is to build a chic salon boutique and a professional-grade haircare line that supports everyone who sits in my chair, no matter their background or texture.

My work is driven by purpose: to help people feel seen, understood, and celebrated. I believe beauty is both artistic and emotional while also being a way to care for ourselves, honor our identity, and step into possibility. Every service, every formula, and every experience is rooted in the same intention: to create a space where people feel beautiful, empowered, and recognized.

I’m still growing through education, entrepreneurship, and creative exploration but everything I do is guided by the same truth that started it all:

self-care is the foundation of becoming your best self; when you pour into yourself first, everything else begins to overflow.
