About me
You made it! Hi, I'm Salem and I run The Cuttin' Chute, where everyone is buckin' beautiful. I am an OSU graduate who decided to chase my true passion at 26: cosmetology. I grew up surrounded by the best cowgirls and cowboys in the agriculture and rodeo worlds. My western roots remain bold in my business but I accept all kinds. I have a small yet beautiful family. I'm working toward specializing in curly hair.
I spent parts of my life being bullied for one thing or another. It is a goal of mine to ensure every client of mine feels only joy, safety and self-appreciation after a visit with me. In my chair, you will laugh and feel heard. I'm excited to work together! Let's get started. 🖤

Why I'm here
I strive to chase my passion and be the best human I can because I want my son to grow up with two heroes, my husband and myself. It's important to me we show him passion and ambition go hand-in-hand. I never want to work simply to pay the bills again.
My dad, a retired fire chief, often shared the stress of his job with us. I questioned why he stayed if he was so stressed. He always told me that work wasn't really work when it's something he was excited to do. I tried to find my place both in the sports broadcast and agricultural communications worlds. I just didn't fit in right.
Now I do! I'm using my agriculture background, western taste, sassy attitude and ambition to create a job that fits me rather than fitting myself to a job. Please, join me on this journey. 🖤
