Never thought I’d be here saying that my passion is being a cosmetologist, see I was raised in a Mexican house hold always being told that the only way I can help my parents or my sibling is by becoming something big. For example a Doctor or a Lawyer. Growing up seeing my parents struggle taking care of me and my sister made me feel like I needed to do something to help them. As a young child the most I was able to do was make sure the house was clean and being a good example for my sister, but after high school I went to a community college and I was able to choose my major as a psychiatrist. I chose this pathway because I’ve always been a caring person and I like to help people and what I wanted to do most was help someone that needed to talk and I wanted to be the person that found there way to happens or at least find there way to feel free. So I took 6 classes in college. Never in a million years did I ever think that I would be so unhappy to go to class to do something that will help me get my career and be doing that for the rest of my life. Until one day when I was in class I decided to go on instagram. What i had seen on Instagram was something that was going to change my life. I had seen a video where a hairstylist fixed this damaged hair and the client left very satisfied with the result. I started to look for school around my area and I visited some. Paul Mitchell the school in Modesto was the school that caught my eye. Everyone was so cheerful and they looked so professional. On my tour day, was the day I decided to go to school there. I graduate January 2020 but every single day I attend I’m so happy. Seeing my clients satisfied face after I finish doing there hair Is what makes my heart sing. This is makes my soul feel amazing. I’m happy and I’m excited to learn every single day, because every day is an educational day and this is my story.
