About me
Hiya, I'm Sarah!
I'm currently a Cosmetology student at Summit Salon Academy located in Tacoma, Washington. I grew up with a single mom and a younger brother, who is autistic and schizophrenic. I struggled with staying on the right path at a young age, and found solace with the wrong group of people. This led me to a decade+ of substance abuse, and I can now proudly say I am almost 4 years sober!!
Through my sobriety I discovered my love for hair, fashion, makeup, and style. I'm so excited to pursue a career in the beauty industry! I love being creative, bold colors, fiber arts, cinema, trying new things, hanging with long time friends, and meeting new people!
I was a career server/bartender/barista and last summer I found myself out of love with the work and ready for the next chapter in my life, one that brings me joy and utilizes the best parts of myself.

I'm here to break sitgmas within the world and I think the beauty industry is a perfect place to start! Femininity and queer liberation are two things that inspire me and I hold very near to my heart. There is so much within this field I can use to help people be the most authentic to themselves, matching the external with the internal. I feel the most excited about editorial/ high fashion looks, things that aren't your "everyday".
I am here to LEARN. I want to be a sponge for knowledge, even if someone doesn't have the exact style or vibe I'm aligning with my work, I think everyone has a valuable asset to bring to the table and to teach others. Being well versed in everything this industry has to offer is very valubale to me.
I am here to help people understand your past does not define you! I have grown so much in my 29 years in this world, who you were yesterday doesn't define who you can be tomorrrow. I want to spread that energy with everyone I work with.
