About me
Hi! My name is Savannah Apling and I'm a hairstylist in Muskegon, Michigan. On top of being a hairstylist, I am a show rabbit breeder that shows all around the country with my wife, as well as owning a rabbitry. As well as that, I also used to show livestock in 4H for 3 years and am now a mentor in my 4H club to help teach kids how to show the animals I excelled in showing. In my free time I love to be with my 50+ animals, hiking, crafts, and spending time with family.

Why I'm here
I am here because ever since I was a little girl I was so facinated by what this industry has to offer. From watching countless makeup tutorials till 1:00AM at the age of 8, to using my moms makeup and everyone being in awe of the natural talent I showed at a very young age, while everyone else knew but me that this was my passion. I was always the makeup girl, still somewhat am, but it wasn't till I decided to no longer box color my hair and take care of it where I not only realized this untapped love in a career I mearly grazed over the idea of a few times, but I meet my inspiration and driving factor that made me realize that this is what I'm meant to do. Ive since learned so much more that just solidifies to me that this, being a hairstylist, making art of hair, and seeing the reactions of those clients in the chair that just love themselves or their hair that much more, all because of me. That right there shows me that this is the industry for me.
Additional Information
I learned a lot team building as I stepped into a management role to help build not only the team but the company as a whole, which resulted in some more personal professional grown for me.
As my first part time job I really learned a huge part of professionalism. I also learned the importance of regular cleaning and sterilization as well as speed while still being accurate.
