Serena Parsons (Star)

My passions had always been in the beauty industry. While I was in high school, I was in the theater academy and part of the curriculum was to learn stage makeup. I instantly fell in love and started my journey to learn how to use it creatively. I built sets, did hair and makeup and started taking photos of my creative art as a way of self expression and to combat extreme bullying I had while in school.  I originally went to college for photography and started a successful company doing fashion shoots, weddings and boudoir. As a part time model and photographer, I worked with many makeup artists, asking questions and learning their craft. I practiced makeup and hair for my fellow photography students and started to pick up some commercial work in the industry. I also did a couple of my wedding client’s makeup for their day. As a boudoir photographer, there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone’s face light up after the big reveal of their hair and makeup. 10 years later, I decided to officially get my cosmetology license and began attending Rizzieri Aveda.   You can view more of my work and about me at: www.Serena-Star.com
