Shag Noir Salon is a Black-owned, inclusive hair salon nestled in the heart of East Austin's Mexican Cultural Arts District. Specializing in all hair textures — from afro to straight — our experienced stylists offer advanced color, bespoke cutting, and wash & go treatments using exclusively non-toxic and eco-friendly products. We proudly use Alfaparf, a low-toxicity Italian color line, and are a certified Green Circle Salon, recovering up to 95% of beauty waste. As a no-tip, hourly-rate salon, we ensure fair pay for our team and transparent pricing for our clients. We welcome all races, ethnicities, and identities, and are proud supporters of the LGBTQ2S+ community. Every client receives a complimentary consultation before their first appointment.
