Shaterrica Roland

My name is Shaterrica Roland I am a 25 year old full time student at Ogle School Hair, Skin And Nails I started school July 27th and now have a attendance of 93% with a 3.0 gpa . I started doing hair when I was 11 years old (braiding) and I have been doing it ever since . I even when to cosmetology school when I was in high school .I have a 3 year old daughter. I’m originally from Shreveport, La, but I’ve lived here in Dallas, Tx for about a 1 1/2 now . I moved here by myself just me and my daughter, Things started off a little rocky for me not having a sitter so I couldn’t work . Then I found a program that helps house you and I’ve been trying to get on my feet very since . I have been so blessed so there are some hard ships from time to time still have no one to help with my daughter and being a full time student and no real income because I can’t work at night . This is definitely one of my biggest challenges that I plan on getting through! , but decided to go to actually college when I graduated high school to get that experience. Well I ended up having my daughter in college and had to dropped due to hard times, but even after all I’ve been through being in the hair industry has always come up, and given me opportunities to perfect my craft, so here I am finally completing the biggest step to my career that I’ve always dreams of, I can’t wait to see what I future hold when I graduate and get my license!
