Shawn Viseth

My name is Shawn and I've been a hairstylist for 11 years! I started my hair journey at Josef's School of Hair Design in 2012 where I earned a position on my schools spotlight team. While I was in school I participated in a school wide photo contest and took 1st place in the Grunge Chic category. I also participated in the MNSSPA's S.W.A.T. Team (Students with awesome talent) where I learned advance hair cutting and styling skills, and was able to style 2 Models for a "Hair through the ages" Hair show. My categories were the 60's and the 80's. After school I worked shortly for Herberger's salon but soon left for a better opportunity with Regis Salons. I worked for Regis for 6 years and loved it immensely, I learned so much from my coworkers and couldn't be more gratful for the mentors I had back then. Unfortunately I chose to leave for yet another better opportunity at Instyle Salon. About a year into working at Instyle I was offered an educator position at Josef's school of Hair Skin and Body, where I was tasked with managing the student body, teaching theory, and assisting on the clinic floor. Unfortunately due to creative and monetary differences, I had to leave teaching to return to working behind the chair! I'm now at Hairology salon and am loving every day! My team is amazingly supportive and I want to use this opportunity to help my salon grow while being able to teach others my knowledge and expertise.
