I began my journey into the beauty word when I turned 14. That was the year my mom finally got me my own acrylic nail set. I am now 33 years old and have done nails and hair most of my adult life on friends and family. I had to face many trials throughout my life, which had prevented me from going to school to be professionally trained until now. I was a single mom for many years. I had lost a child young. So many things had happened that prevented my life dreams to come true. Until now. For the last 19 years of my life, I have transformed many of my friends and family into something better. I could remember growing up, my mother would be in the worst mood ever until she went to have her hair done or her nails done. I remember taking trips with her to the salon and how at peace she was during the process of each service. She was relaxed, even calm from dealing with my 4 other siblings and myself. I knew I wanted to be the person on the other side of the chair or the des. I wanted to me people feel exactly how my mother felt all those times. Those small moments of relaxation that I see with my friends and family when I have done their nails or hair; that is exactly what I am after. I know its taken me many years to finally be able to attend a professional school, but I am here and I will continue my skill set. I am determined. I am driven. I am excited to finally make my dreams come true.
