Sioban “Damalia” Majeed is a celebrated hair artist and educator with over 30 years in the beauty industry. From 2018 to 2025, she served as a Collaborative Coach with Texture vs. Race, helping to reshape the conversation around texture education. In 2025, she joined The Strand Network as a featured hair artist.
Damalia is the Founder and Lead Artist of Damalia & Co International Hair Team, leading creative direction backstage at New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week, and has also worked at Philly Fashion Week. She has an extensive portfolio of editorial, video, and commercial work. As founder of Texture Prodigy Academy, she delivers advanced education for stylists specializing in curls, coils, and texture. Her artistry has been featured in various publications, cementing her reputation as a leader in the world of fashion, beauty, and texture education
I am a passionate and transformative hair artist with an international reputation for excellence. As a lead hair artist for New York and Paris Fashion Weeks, I specialize in creating elevated, couture hair experiences that go beyond styling.
