Sophia Merriman

I have always loved doing hair and makeup for weddings and proms since I was in high school. In 2016 I was apart of a non-profit called Beauty Fit For A Queen. During my time with BFFAQ I learned so much from my mentor who was the president of the organization. I helped with multiple proms, prom parties, bridal parties, and pagents. I also learned a lot of what goes on behind the scenes of a non-profit/ salon/ business. While I was there I even hosted my own fashion show and was able to participate in it as well. In 2017 I tried to start my own business of doing hair and makeup for events, what I didn't know was I needed a licenses. I started at Aveda Fredric's Institute Indy in April of 2021. I am loving everything I am learning but so far my favorite things to do are blowouts and updos! I can not wait to continue my journey and furthering my educaton.
