Before ever getting into cosmetology I've worked with kids with special needs, most of my kiddos being boys but ALL of them being sensory sensitive so keeping the kids groomed was rough. Haircuts and shaving was difficult and clippers were our biggest enemy! That's what got me dabbling with shears and practicing cuts on any of my kids who would sit still long enough to chop off some length. The relief in the parents of being able to avoid a messy trip to the salon and having someone like me who has experience with kids with autism / special needs that could manage a bit of a clean up on them AT HOME was what hooked me. The cosmetology industry IS the hospitality industry and I hope to continue helping anyone and everyone that sits in my chair!
