Taja Barnes

My name is Taja Barnes, I am a small town young woman with big dreams. Originally from Palestine, Arkansas I relocated to Jacksonville, Florida in 2015. I am the youngest of three girls and I have older twin sisters as I use to tell everyone “I came by myself”! I’ve always had a passion to create things. Whether it be with drawing, painting, dancing, writing, and one of my favorite pass-time as a child taking things apart to see how they work and putting them back together. My passion for doing hair came out of the blue, well so I say. I feel like God has blessed me with so many gifts, it was very difficult for me to figure out what my purpose was in life. I thought to myself... well you are good at creating and making something out of nothing. You love the before and after of what you create. You are really good at what you do... But how can you become great or even the best? 10 years out of high school (class of 2009 whoop whoop), I was blessed to be in the position to pursue my dream of going to my dream school. There has been many obstacles, but faith and determination has kept me going. I am finally at a place where I can create, make people happy, and have the ultimate career I desire. But most importantly connecting with so many people while providing excellent service with each and every guest.
