About me
Hello, my name is Tess Ramirez, I am a 22 year old Mexican/ Native American bisexual woman.
I have a passion for almost everything that involves me using my hands. My hobbies include: pottery, painting, scrapbooking, jewelry making, cooking, baking, skincare, makeup, hair, and nails. If I'm not creating something with my hands, I'm usually hanging out with my family and friends or with my animals.
I really like Asian culture, more specifically Korea and Japan. I enjoy eating their food, and watching their movies and tv shows. I also love their style of fashion, makeup, and their music. One of my goals in life is to be able to visit Japan, especially during the cherry blossom bloom in early spring.
With a mom as a cosmotologist, I have some insight on the beauty industry and all things hair. While I'm still learning, my main goal is to be able to specialize in vivid colors. With opportunity and hard work, I want to get to a place where I can hone my craft and be the one person who is able to get your hair to the perfect vivid shade you imagined!

With a mother who is also a cosmotologist, I've grown up immersed in the beauty industry. Spending my free days in the back of my moms shop, I watched her hone her craft. What really inspired me was watching her clients come in fully confident and trusting in her abilities. And watching them leave radiating confidence and happiness. I've even experienced her gift myself.
Growing up, I didn't fit into society's "beauty standard". I was a very timid kid, I lacked any confidence. It wasn't until my mother allowed me to have complete control on how I wanted to wear my hair, was when I was able to use my hair to show my personality. She would dye my hair any vibrant color I chose. Everytime I stepped out of the chair after she'd dyed my hair, I had never felt so confident. I had never gotten so many compliments in my life beforehand. She had given me the gift to express myself through my hair, and that gave me confidence.
That was the first time I really understood the magic of the beauty industry. Being able to create something beautiful and have it mean so much more to the client. I want to have that effect on the world and others. Through vivids, I want to help others gain confidence and help them express themselves through their hair.
