To understand what lead me here, you must first understand a little about my background. I've worn many different hats over the years from tool and die maker to CNA to Artist. For the past 6 years, I have owned and operated my own art business. 5 years ago, my world changed drastically. My mother suffered a debilitating stroke and found herself in a skilled nursing facility. In those homes, my eyes were truly opened. I saw just how much a fresh cut, perm/roller set, etc truly meant to someone. How the lack of mobility can truly limit someone. But most importantly how that simple act of styling or coloring or cutting of hair, can change someone's whole day. That's what led me here. DESIRE. This is a way to give back, MY WAY. I hope to work a few days a week doing just that. Giving Back. And when I can no longer work behind the chair, I hope to go into teaching to continue to give back.
