I am originally from Texas but relocated to Seattle, WA 2 years ago. I was in a job I hated and wanted to make a change. I had worked in the film industry for 4 1/2 years and loved it! I decided to pursue a cosmetology license as a pathway back to film. I am currently attending the Gene Juarez Academy and it wasn't until I was given an amazing opportunity to attend Beacon 2020 that I realized getting a cosmetology license is just the beginning of a career that can take me anywhere I want to go!As a child I used fashion and beauty in magazines as a way to escape the harsh reality I was living in. I would flip through the pages observing every outline, every angel and detail of the hairstyles, make up, and outfits. I would imagine how these styles were formed and dreamed one day I would be beautiful too. Feeling unloved and unwanted fueled my imagination and I would daydream about beauty, about creating, and helping others feel accepted, loved, and beautiful. Now, that imagination is what is catapulting my career, what drives my passion and keeps me moving forward. I believe in dreaming BIG and being LIMITLESS! I believe the skills I am learning matched with the talent, passion, desire, hard work ethic, and creativity I have is a force to be reckoned with! I love creating editorial looks and plan to compete in the PBA North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) next year.We all have gifts and talents uniquely gifted to us and it is our responsibility to give these gifts to others. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a client's smile when their look is complete!
