There's actually a lot of reasons why I'm here, to be frank. Covid, creative expression, the constant everchanging flow of fads/education opportunities, (the weird obsession I have with just creating a character for 2 hours and then not playing the actual video game), you name it. What I really like about what I do is seeing the outcome from what it once was.

 Growing up in a theatre, I learned how to do this when I was about 10. I would hardly be able to recognize the people I knew when they walked out of our makeup room because they looked so much like their character that they basically were them. What they looked like wasn't just why I did it, it's because of who they became.

Once they had their new look, a new confidence ALWAYS followed. That's not just with my cast mates, I've noticed it in clients as well. They come in a bit shy, maybe a bit down (especially on these Michigan rainy days), and by the time they see and feel their new hair and smell the aroma of the products, they never leave without a smile and a bunch of thank yous. Seeing those reactions is why I stay here and do what I do.
