Tya Burnett

Hi! My name is Tya, and I’m originally from Maryland but have called Texas home since 2015. I’ve been passionate about hair since I was 12 years old—starting out as my own stylist and growing into the creative, hands-on “DIY girly” I am today. I love exploring different styles and techniques, and I’m always eager to learn something new that helps me grow as a stylist.

Outside of cosmetology, I’ve been a professional babysitter for over five years, proudly maintaining five-star reviews in my community and beyond. I’m also a proud dog mom of three!

I currently attend Ogle School Denton, where I serve as Vice President of our Success Team, helping fellow students reach their educational and career goals. I’ll be graduating at the end of October, and I’m excited to begin pursuing hairstyling full-time. Alongside school, I currently work full-time at Safran, where I help build wire harnesses for aircraft—an experience that’s strengthened my attention to detail, focus, and work ethic.
