Victoria Capuano

Hey, I’m Victoria Capuano, and I’m beyond excited to kickstart my journey in the beauty industry! Hairstyling has been my passion since I was a kid, and now I’m ready to make it my career!

Growing up, my neighbor was a hairstylist, and I can still vividly recall sitting in her chair, completely mesmerized by her craft. I remember thinking, "Wow! This seems like such a fun career!" I also had a Barbie mannequin head that I loved to style, but it wasn't long before my family noticed that every doll in the house had become bald and covered in sharpie makeup.

As I matured, societal pressures steered me towards a different path. I spent six years at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), striving to find my place, yet ultimately realizing it wasn't where I belonged.

After my time at SCAD, I found myself teaching painting. However, everything changed when I had the opportunity to work at America's Beauty Show and Premier Orlando. It was a life-changing experience, and I finally felt like I belonged.

Grateful for the invaluable experiences at SCAD and the fulfillment found in my teaching career, I knew it was time to pursue my lifelong dream. Enrolling in Cosmetology at The University of Aesthetics and Cosmetology was a pivotal moment, and I haven't looked back since. This journey has allowed me to merge my three greatest passions: art, science, and the opportunity to positively impact people's lives.

Now, as I immerse myself in cosmetology school, I’m truly living my dream, and it’s incredible. I’ve found that when you’re passionate about something, success comes naturally. I’m thriving in my studies, consistently excelling in both practical demonstrations and written exams. I’m proud to say that I’ve already won two out of three demos, showcasing my skills and creativity. Being in cosmetology school has reaffirmed my love for this industry and has shown me that when you’re doing what you love, the possibilities are endless.

My journey has been long, but it's only just begun. I'm excited to see where this amazing industry takes me and to contribute to making the world a more beautiful place, one head at a time! ✨
