I was asked if I had cut hair before and responded, “kinda” with a smile on my face. Truth is, yes, I had cut hair before, often actually, as fast as my cellmate and I could grow it! At school it didn’t matter that I was once called a convict, I never felt judged by my classmates or the staff. I’ve also never felt as motivated as I did to redeem myself from my previous life.
