Coz was founded in 2021, but its story begins in 2009, when original owner and founder Nackie Karcher opened The Parlour Brooklyn, with Coz’s current owner, Meg Costello, by her side. Over the years, The Parlour Brooklyn evolved and flourished. In 2018, Meg became co-owner and, during the pandemic in 2020, took full ownership from Nackie. The following year, the salon was reimagined as Coz—a heartfelt tribute to Meg’s late father, whose passion for caring for others and fostering authentic connection continues to inspire the salon’s spirit today.
At its heart, Coz carries forward a shared tradition of creativity, care, and community. As the world continues to change, so too does our salon—growing, adapting, and responding to the needs of our clients, team, and neighborhood.
Meg believes that a business should evolve alongside its community and support the people who give it life. That’s why Coz is rooted in three guiding values: exceptional client experience, staff well-being, and genuine community engagement.
