Fantastic Sams salons pride themselves on providing full-service, cut and color salon services at an affordable price with a focus on technical expertise and guest experience.

In 1974, Sam Ross opened the first Fantastic Sams salon with the goal of creating an affordable salon experience that was accessible to everyone. In 1976, he began franchising his concept, making Fantastic Sams the first national full-service hair salon franchise in the U.S. Today, Fantastic Sams has more than 800 salons throughout North America. As for the name, the story goes that as he finished up a particularly stylish cut, the client said, “That’s fantastic, Sam!” and a legacy was born!

In 2012, Fantastic Sams became part of Dessange International, the premium-luxury European salon chain, headquartered in Paris, France. Dessange is the world’s leading network of excellence for global beauty.
