At Floyd’s 99 Maple Grove, leadership doesn’t mean stepping away from the craft you love. As Shop Manager, you’ll lead from the front—continuing to work with your own clients while helping build a motivated, high-performing team around you.

You’ll set the tone for the day-to-day shop experience, from coaching and developing your team to keeping operations, scheduling, sales, and the client experience running smoothly. Just as important, you’ll help create the positive, inclusive culture Floyd’s is known for—one where individuality is encouraged, people support one another, and great work gets noticed.

This is an opportunity for an experienced beauty or barbering professional who understands the business behind the chair and is ready to make a bigger impact without leaving it behind.

What You’ll Take the Lead On

• Leading, coaching, and developing the Maple Grove team

• Hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management

• Continuing to provide exceptional service to your own clients

• Driving shop sales, performance, and profitability

• Creating a consistently strong client experience

• Managing inventory, purchasing, supplies, and stock

• Maintaining shop presentation, cleanliness, and organization

• Reviewing sales performance and identifying opportunities for growth

• Supporting company initiatives and partnering with ownership

• Building a positive, inclusive environment where the team can grow

You’ll Be a Great Fit If...

• You have 5–10 years of experience as a licensed Cosmetologist or Barber.

• You hold an active Minnesota Cosmetology License and Salon Manager License.

• You have previous salon, barbershop, or related retail management experience.

• You know how to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

• You’re comfortable balancing clients, people, and business operations.

• You have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• You understand retail sales and what creates a memorable client experience.

• You’re organized and comfortable with POS systems, inventory, and shop operations.

• You lead by example and aren’t afraid to jump in alongside your team.

• You want to help people grow while continuing to grow as a leader yourself.
