Mentorship

Junior Stylist Mentorship + Career Development
Hey Baby Hair Co. | Lone Tree, Colorado
Are you a newer stylist who loves doing hair but doesn’t quite feel ready to be completely on your own yet?
Maybe you recently graduated cosmetology school, are preparing for your licensing exam, or have already started working behind the chair but still feel like there’s a gap between what you learned in school and what it actually takes to become a confident, successful stylist.
That’s exactly who this opportunity is designed for.
This is a hands-on junior stylist mentorship and career development position created to help a newer stylist grow from needing support and guidance into confidently working their own chair, building a clientele, and eventually operating much more independently.
This is not intended to be a permanent assistant position.
The goal is growth.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
My goal is not simply to hire someone who can help me.
I want to find someone who wants to grow.
The ideal progression looks something like:
NEW STYLIST → JUNIOR STYLIST → BUILDING STYLIST → INDEPENDENT STYLIST
Advancement will be based on things like:
Technical ability
Confidence
Service timing
Client satisfaction
Reliability
Professionalism
Rebooking and retention
Willingness to market yourself
Continued education
Ability to manage clients independently
Growth of your clientele
You won’t move forward simply because a certain amount of time has passed.
You’ll move forward because you’re ready.
If you’re looking for a place where you can learn, ask questions, practice, take clients, make mistakes, improve, build a book, and eventually become a confident independent stylist, I’d love to meet you.
Please apply through Beautista and tell me a little about where you are currently in your career, what you want to improve, and where you hope to be as a stylist over the next few years.

ABOUT HEY BABY HAIR CO.
Hey Baby Hair Co. is a private salon studio in Lone Tree focused on creating a personalized client experience and high-quality hair services.
I have worked behind the chair for more than 13 years and have built my career through color, cutting, extensions, hair and scalp health, salon ownership, and the spa/headspa industry.
Over the years, I’ve learned that cosmetology school gives you a foundation—but much of becoming a successful stylist happens after school.
There are many things I wish someone had taught me earlier, especially around building confidence, creating a clientele, understanding the business side of the industry, and learning how to eventually work for yourself.
That is what inspired this mentorship.
