THE TEXTURE OF CHANGE™, powered by L'Oréal's Professional Products Division, is a movement committed to transforming the future of professional beauty through equitable access to textured hair education for students and stylists. Our mission is simple—equip all hair stylists with the education and tools needed to service all clients with all textures.
We've partnered with the Professional Beauty Association and other industry leaders to create the Texture Education Collective, which advocates for including all hair types and textures in beauty school curricula and cosmetology state board licensing exams. Through advocacy, texture upskilling, and community building, we've made an undeniable impact on the beauty industry.
We invite all stylists who resonate with our mission to explore the open roles across the L'Oréal Professional Products Division brands (Mizani, Redken, Kérastase, Matrix, Pulp Riot, L'Oréal Professionnel, Biolage and Pureology). These positions will open the door to becoming a THE TEXTURE OF CHANGE™ Ambassador, where you'll gain the skills and knowledge to elevate your career, become a texture expert, and contribute to our collective vision of equitable access to education. We envision a future where every salon is a sanctuary for all clients, regardless of hair type.

L’Oréal Professional Product Division’s The Texture Of Change Movement Aims To Make Hair Education More Inclusive
L’Oréal USA Professional Products Division has launched The Texture Of Change; a movement committed to improving access to curly, coily and wavy hair education.
To advance the movement, L’Oréal has partnered with Professional Beauty Association to form the Texture Education Collective (TEC) to influence inclusivity of all hair types and textures in cosmetology state board licensing and beauty school curriculums. Anyone can sign this petition to encourage the inclusion of textured hair training in cosmetology testing standards.
The Texture Education Collective wants all cosmetology state boards to include training on:
• Working with hair with various curl, coils and wave patterns
• All different hair strand thicknesses
• All different volumes of hair.
