Job Summary:
Oak Street Hair Group is seeking a friendly and motivated Shampoo Assistant to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is passionate about the beauty industry and eager to grow their career as a stylist. You’ll play an integral role in enhancing our clients' salon experience while supporting our team of professional stylists.

As a Shampoo Assistant, you'll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, shampooing clients, assisting stylists during services, and ensuring our back bar is fully stocked and organized. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn and grow within the salon, with potential for apprenticeship and stylist development for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shampooing & Conditioning: Provide thorough and relaxing shampoos and conditioning treatments for clients before and after haircuts, color services, or styling.
• Assisting Stylists: Help stylists during services by preparing tools, offering assistance with blow-drying, sectioning hair, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
• Customer Service: Greet clients with a friendly and professional attitude, assist with client needs, and ensure overall satisfaction.
• Back Bar Maintenance: Stock and organize back bar products, ensuring they are easily accessible for stylists. Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations as needed.
• Salon Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, including sweeping floors, sanitizing chairs, and ensuring the salon is in top shape for each client.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Assist with various tasks around the salon to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

• No Experience Required: Training will be provided, though prior experience in a salon or customer service setting is a plus.
• Positive Attitude: Must be friendly, professional, and passionate about the beauty industry.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with stylists, fellow assistants, and other salon staff.
• Strong Communication Skills: Must be able to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Reliable & Punctual: Ability to consistently show up on time and ready to work.
