Job Title: Educator – Cosmetology/Barbering/Esthetics/Manicuring
Location: Salon Success Academy-Upland campus

Position Overview
Salon Success Academy is seeking passionate and dedicated Educators who are committed to shaping the next generation of beauty professionals. Our Educators play an essential role in delivering our “people helping company” philosophy by providing expert training, support, and mentorship to students. You will guide students through curriculum set by the Milady textbook series and provide hands-on demonstrations and practice to develop their technical skills and professionalism. This role is perfect for licensed professionals eager to make an impact and inspire others through education.

- Pay Range: $18 - $25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruction and Training
- Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, and/or manicuring based on curriculum standards, with a focus on developing students’ technical and professional skills.
- Demonstrate techniques and processes, ensuring students understand and practice proper procedures in a safe, supportive environment.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage skill development and boost student confidence.
- Student Mentorship and Support
- Mentor and inspire students, fostering a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.
- Act as a professional role model, promoting Salon Success Academy’s core values of respect, integrity, and teamwork.
- Offer individualized guidance and support, tailoring instruction to meet each student’s unique needs.
- Classroom Management and Organization
- Ensure classroom organization, maintain equipment, and manage the distribution of supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other required documentation per school policies.
- Work collaboratively with other educators and administrative staff to support a seamless educational experience for all students.
- Curriculum Development and Continuous Improvement
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
- Assist with school events, career fairs, and community outreach programs to promote Salon Success Academy and recruit new students.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state license in Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics, or Manicuring, depending on the field of expertise
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience
- Teaching experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training and support are provided
- Passion for teaching, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and inspire students, fostering a positive learning environment
